According to urban dictionary, she’s a girl with black hair and blue eyes. Made famous by Steve Earle in his song Galway Girl, which is about such a girl

Ed Sheeran’s new song ‘Galway girl’ has made the term popular again. But unlike the Steve Earle version, the girl in this song is a blonde with blue eyes.

The song is a collaboration between Sheeran and the Irish folk band Beoga, and mixes Irish traditional music with pop.

On 11 April 2017, Sheeran shot the music video for “Galway Girl” in Galway, Ireland. It features actress Saoirse Ronan.
